Awkward...

That awkward moment when you remember when you were a child, and your Year 7 class went to the cinema on the last day of school to see Return of The Jedi, then after it was over, all the boys were talking about how cool the speederbikes were, and you agree with them publicly to fit in, when all the time you were secretly pissed off about how Boba Fett dies, and you convince yourself that he does eventually escape the Sarlaac pit and all is fine and good in the galaxy once more then, thirty or more years later, you remember that moment again and it then further implants the suggestion that actually, it was Princess Leia in a metal bikini blowing the shit out of Jabba's ship, out in the middle of The Sea of Karkoon, that had the most "influence" on you. Then you think that you should probably make that part of a semi-amusing Facebook status, but realise it was too long to fit, so you write it in a blog post and when you proof-read it back, realise that it's only two sentences long.

Movies from an Alternate Universe

I simply love these. There is not a single one that I would not go to see - even if I wouldn't see the "original" version. All artwork (brilliantly) created by Peter Stults [details at bottom of post] found via Behance.

This is from the site:

Awhile back a friend of mine forwarded me a site (http://hartter.blogspot.com/2009/11/misc.html)where an artist had made posters of films that, title wise, we were familiar with, but there was a slight difference; they were remade as if they belonged to a different era or a different genre, the name of the movie was there, but the actors were different, the style was different, and I loved the concept. So I went forward with this theme; what if movies we were all familiar with were made a different slice of time? Who would be in it? Who would direct it? So here we are...
